What do you think of the England football team?

•July 2, 2010 • Leave a Comment

An online research company has had a post-World Cup survey up this week.

from the other side of the mirror

You type in the first word that you think of when you see a footballer, and then it shows the most popular answers. It’s interesting to see which of the England team
are most getting it in the neck.

John Terry – cheat, twat
Wayne Rooney – potato, Phil Collins, useless
Jamie Carragher – unfit, retired
Rob Green – clown
Glen Johnson – who?
Emile Heskey – rubbish, useless, donkey

Lampard (Lamps) and Gerrard (sturdy, solid) come out alright.

Try it yourself here: http://www.cogresearch.com/ pretty fun and interesting.

I work for Southwest Key Programs here in Austin, and one of the ways we help build community is supporting the community through the arts.

The Latino Arts Preservation Program is run by Southwest Key Programs  and supports the preservation of Latino art forms, namely mariachi,  ballet folklorico and bilingual theater in East Austin. Children and  their parents learn, then help create and perform the pieces in a cultural exchange with other areas of  Austin. Since the program started just over two years, originally for children, it has become tremendously popular and now not just the kids, but parents are heavily involved. Many thanks to everyone who helped make this program happen, especially our friends at Impact Austin.

Here is a short video I made to document and celebrate the program….enjoy!
